About me

My love for the city of Linz was put into my cradle, so to speak. I was born and spent my first years in the steel city. I still live with my family close to Linz, in a green oasis, which is beautifully balancing to my work in the nearby state capital.

From a young age on I was particularly interested in history and geography, especially regarding other countries. I started my career in tourism from bottom up, so to speak: Sales, travel organisation and travel accompaniment at home and abroad followed. Even though rich in impressions and information about other countries, my knowledge about Austria, however, slowly faded. That’s why I graduated in tourism management and completed an education to become a certified tourist guide, the “Austriaguide” in Upper Austria. I addition I also worked as a guide at „voestalpine Stahlwelt“ and required detailed knowledge about steel production and the industrial history of Austria.

Equipped with all these tools, I have been guiding guests through Linz, Upper Austria and nearby states.

A quote by Guy de Maupassant, which means a lot to me and which fits my life attitude

„it is the lives we encounter that make life worth living.“!

Half-Day and Day Trips

Did you choose Linz or it’s surroundings as the location for your trip and are you attractive excursions? I invite you to come with me to charming cities and unique landscapes. Let me familiarise you with the traditions of the regions and seduce your palate with local delicacies.

Salzkammergut

Stretched over three federal states, the Salzkammergut is a picturesque lake landscape with beautiful mountain scenery and charming, historical villages. On a leisurely hike, I will show you the most beautiful places and views.

Mühlviertel and the Beer

The tour takes you to the northern part of Upper Austria. Hilly landscapes, charming villages and a special architectural style accompany you along the route. You will learn more about the life, tradition and customs of this charming region.

Freistadt, a medieval town, is the only beer-commune in Europe, where beer has been brewed for centuries. Find out how this came about and whether this still applies today – over a glass of brewed beer.

Steyr, St. Florian and the Cider

To walk through the main square of the city of Steyr fascinates in a very special way. Richly decorated, historical house facades, the Gothic “Bummerlhaus“, hidden courtyards and much more will enchant you. After some free time, we continue to St. Florian to the Augustiner “Chorherrenstift“. A tour of the baroque abbey and church will impress you. This is followed by a cosy and delicious conclusion of the trip – of course with the traditional drink of the region, the cider!

Lower Austria – Wachau and the Wine

Wachau is an ancient cultural landscape, located downstream on the Danube and is part of UNESCO World Heritage. Since centuries wine and apricots have been cultivated on these Danube slopes. Walk with me through the vineyards and taste the regional variety of products. Learn all about the present and history of this region – best over a glass of wine! I also happily created a program tailored to your wishes. Get in touch with me. Price on request.
